It is now Spring 2010, A-TOM-MIK will be entering year #9 of business, we have grown to roughly 30 Pro Staff members presently. As I sit here and reflect on why we are still in business and going strong, one reason remains and that is our great field of Pro Staffers, thanks again guys, I owe you the world. I would also like to mention this: We now receive a boat-load of requests a year to be an A-TOM-MIK Pro Staffer, one thing I like to pride myself with is the fact most of our staff we currently have never asked to be on our Pro Staff. Odd huh (: but true !! I am now 42 years old, I had one small goal back in 2001 and that was to build a name a few rec anglers would recognize here and there.... Goal accomplished !!!! The "A-TOM-MIK" name stands for my son Tommy ("TOM") and my daughter Mikayla ("MIK") with the ("A") from our last name being "Allen".
A Pro Staff is meant to be many things, more so now days than ever a Pro Staff is what it takes for longevity in the business. As manufacturers come and go the ones you see sticking around are certainly doing something right. Making a go of it now days in one of the hardest fields to conquer, the tackle trade, does not come easy and certainly does not come without help.

Del Casterline and Tourney Team Liquid Plumber, out of Oswego/Mexico have had their time on the stage after many high placings in tourney style events across the south shore of Lake Ontario. Del, John and team also know what it's like to have that 1st place King in our ever popular LOC derby as well. Weekend warriors who are very serious about their sport of choice and who love to compete pretty much sums it up for the Liquid Plumber team. Del loves running his A-TOM-MIK flies and copper lines and makes no bones about telling us his favorite go-to items weekly after visits to the big pond. Team Pressman, With plenty of years rigging under their belts on the Great Lakes, Team Pressman consisting of Deryk "BigD" Hastie, Steve "Pressman" Fudge and Chris "Jammer" Vanrooy, the guys are stoked to join the A-TOM-MIK family. Deryk, Steve and Chris have been loyal followers of the A-TOM-MIK line ever since they discovered it years ago. They continue to always find a place for this solid product in their spread whether they are goofing around on a nice sunny day or fishing what they call "Thee Adrenaline High" of a competitive tournament. They may fish in one of the smallest boats in the field but their hearts are big and they are always trying to improve their skills and can be seen wherever there are fish to be caught!!! The three buddies show how well they have gelled by having a very successful first season as a team in 2009 by winning the inaugural Feed the Fry Tournament, hoisting the trophy at the 2009 TIGHT-LINES event and a top 5 and 11th finish in the KOTL series. Success is no stranger to this team as in recent years the boys have combined to add Six Salmon Master $500 a day wins, 1st and 3rd finishes in St Kitts Members derbies and over $5000 in bounty fishing events and many other respectable Scotty/KOTL tournament finishes. Individually Steve and Chris have placed 4th and 8th respectively in the Toronto Sun Derby and Deryk, as part of Team Offshore took, down the 2005 Summer Scotty. Wow, this dude from across the lake was tapping my home waters, even dragged his vessel right to the front door of my Oswego home to get a bit of A-TOM-MIK product. Team Screamer, frequenting Fair Haven NY in the past, but now docked at Oswego Marina fishing with many of the the "Big Guns" of the Eastern Basin. Dave and Joe continue to lead the way for many tourney anglers in various tourney style events along the Southern Lake Ontario shorelines, namely the Lake Ontario Pro/Ams. Team Screamer has won more events in Pro/Ams am division than any other names in the record books, also currently holding the coveted "Champions of the Lake" cup, another feat done more than once. The Fair Haven Challenge has also been "owned" by Team Screamer 3 years in a row. Dedication is an understatement when it boils down to competitive play while chasing Lake Ontario King Salmon and placing highest on the list among a very trying field of participants. With A-TOM-MIK brand products in the arsenal for Screamer the confidence level remains very high.
Captain Troy Creasy, is a full-time dedicated professional with over 23 years of guiding experience. High Adventure Sportfishing provides a complete full-time year-round guide service for trophy salmon, trout, walleye and bass, on Oneida Lake, Lake Ontario and it’s tributaries. Captain Troy has 3 boats to provide you with a complete fishing experience.
This season he will be fishing out of his new 2000 295 Penn Yan Prowler for Lake Ontario Charters. His 18 ft. Lund for Bass, Walleye and inshore Browns and a 18 ft Drift Boat for tributary fishing including; Salmon River, Black River, and Oswego River.
Along with working with us at A-TOM-MIK Captain Troy is a member of the Luhr Jensen, Mustad, Pro-Troll, Okuma, Gamma, and Dreamweaver pro-staff.
He has won several major derbies and guided his client, Kurt Killian, to the NY state record Chinook Salmon in 1991. Captain Troy is an active member of the NYS Fisheries Congress, Lake Ontario Salmon & Trout Association, Lake Ontario Sportfishing Stakeholders Coalition, NYS Outdoor Writers Association and a board of director of the National Marine Charter Association. He has served as president of the Oswego County River Guides Association and coordinator for the Oswego County Pro-Am Tournament. Troy is also editor of Lake Ontario Outdoors Magazine.
B & B Sport Fishing, Captain Gerry Bresadola has been chartering on Lake Ontario waters for over 25 years. Throughout this time Gerry has been active in matters pertaining to our fishery. A member of the DEC sponsored Lake Ontario Fishing Congress and the DEC Lake Ontario Stakeholders Group he remains today as in years past an involved advocate for the betterment of Great Lakes fishing. The current NYS record Brown Trout was caught aboard Gerry’s well known vessel the Dixie Dandy. He also has a Pro-Am 1st place win to his credit. Fishing out of the Oswego Marina his enthusiasm for charter fishing remains high. His dedication to the sport fishery is well known among his peers. His belief is simple, “If you are going to take, you must be willing to give back!".

Eric Marcinkowski & Team Striker Sportfishing, Eric Marcinkowski and Team Striker from Syracuse NY are yet another team to watch while visiting the scene of any Lake Ontario tourney style event. Eric has been on teams that have won back to back King of The Lake titles in 2007 and 2008, more wins to list than we have room for, another one of them names that is an automatic reminder of teams normally placing on top. Eric purchased a 10 meter Trojan for more tourney outings in 2009 and will also join the many looking to take down a "King of The Lake" title, but for Eric it will be the chance at an unprecedented 3 in a row "King of The Lake" title's for 2009. A-TOM-MIK has found another home aboard Striker to maintain that ut-most posture and presents in a competitive field of players and lure manufacturers. Eric is an aggressive player who uses the skills of the trade to compete with the best anglers leaving most at a disadvantage before they leave the dock. This strength also flows into input coming into us as we converse with Eric looking for the next best thing. Our glow Hammer fly at times is ran off the back of the Trojan in 4 or 5 positions !!!
