The 2005 L.O.C. Fall Salmon and Trout Derby has concluded on Lake Ontario. Hundreds of miles of shorelines and thousands of anglers all looking for the largest Salmon swimming our waters in 18 days of the hottest Salmon fishing Lake Ontario has ever seen. A special "Thank You" to every angler that brought fish to the scales on A-TOM-MIK flies, we can only list some of the top 20 but we follow these events closely and would like to thank everyone who hit the board throughout the event, 4 of the top 20 are as follows. Stephen Lacko from "Total Chaos" with 2nd place for his 31 pound entry on day 18, Dennis Buck while Chartering "Redline Sportfishing" with 13th place for his catch of 29.14, Lena-Jean Poulin with her 29.10 catch good for 16th place (Lena is wife of Roland Poulin who has taken the largest Salmon ever recorded on an A-TOM-MIK product at 40+lbs) Roland also put one of the first weighable Salmon on the board early in the L.O.C. on our product at 25.11 (this was one of 3 fish on the board early all of which were taken on our flies), and Louis Kolonics with 17th place and a like 29.10 Salmon while chartering "TK" Charters.
In the Brown Trout division the angler taking the largest fish on Lake Ontario during the event was Robert French fishing off "Miss Demeanor" with his 1st place entry at 13.11 taken on an A-TOM-MIK fly. In the youth division Kelsey Wagner entered a 25.03 entry with a new fly for the 06 Season, the T.G. fly, good for 9th place. Again we would like to thank every angler and every Captain who ran our products during this awesome event held for 20 years. We have watched Salmon as large as 42.11 entered in this derby and have followed its success, to have the chance of putting our name on the board is a feeling of pride, without your help this certainly would not be possible! Thanks again to all, we appreciate your interest in what we do!!
